DR EGERS OLIVE OIL SPREADS

EAT AND BE HEALTHY

This product was developed in Israel to assist, particularly the western, consumer to counteract the ill effects of our diet which tends to be rich in processed foods and saturated fatty acids. This diet is known to constitute a dominant risk factor in fatal diseases such as cancers and heart disease. Even margarine because of the manufacturing process is high in saturated acids and trans-configurated acids both of which are known to be potential health risks.

Olive oil is known as a healthy alternative because of its fatty acid composition and the high content of natural antioxidants. In order to increase the consumption of olive oil instead of butter or margarine doctors and scientists have developed this spreadable olive oil which is free of synthetic colours preservatives or water. The only ingredients added into the flavoured spreads are garlic, basil or oregano essences. There is no added sugar or salt and is therefore suitable for diabetics and persons suffering from high blood pressure. The olive oil has not undergone any structural change during the processing and therefore retains all its original beneficial qualities.

The addition of omega 3 fatty acid (fish oils) does not change the taste or usefulness of this product but it is believed to enhance the health giving properties by reducing the risks of artheriosclerosis and reduce inflammatory illnesses.

This spread can be used to replace butter or margarine and can also be used for cooking and baking. As I experiment with this new product I shall be including recipes on the site. Any recipes produced by you our customers with your permission will also be included.

Enjoy eating and being healthy
